Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
On this particular day, I wanted to take a moment to give thanks for a few things in particular that I’m thankful for. The list could go on forever, but I’ll try to keep it short as I’m sure we’re all busy.
My Mom. She’s in the hospital right now, but she’s still kicking, and I’m so very thankful to have her in my life. She’s been a massive influence, and the one person that has been by my side no matter what.
I’m still hiking. I’ve had a lot of trouble with one of my knees, but thankfully, things are working out and I’m still on my feet. This is something most people never take a moment to consider, but being able to take that next step is a beautiful thing when you’ve wondered if the previous would be your last.
My friends and family. I’m a busy guy, and to have those people in my life is precious. Despite rarely being able to see anyone these days, between college, work, and my hobbies, they’re still there for me when I need them.
Our beautiful planet. We live in a miraculous place, with more variation and beauty than we could ever hope to take in. On those long walks through the middle of nowhere, I really begin to understand what life is all about, and it’s nothing you can pay for.
Today, take a little time to think about what you have, and not what you do not. You’ll find your list is a bit longer if you do.
