  1. Just spent the afternoon trying on backpacks at my Local REI. I tried about 6 different packs. The 2 most comfortable packs were the Atmos 65 and the Zulu 65. The Zulu was more comfortable than the Atmos. The netting on the back of the Atmos seems like it would be a point that would wear and fray over time. The Zulu comes with a rain cover the Osprey does not. I am going back to try on the stouts before I purchase the zulu. I also want to try the Zulu in small just to be sure of I have the right fit.

It is a very subjective thing. Try them on. It will feel good or it wont. We all have different body types and the Zulu sits in that small of my back just right. The Atmos was good as well but not as comfortable. I don’t think I could go wrong with either one.

    1. It sounds like you’re doing it right. All the reviews in the world don’t matter if the pack doesn’t fit you correctly. I’m a huge fan of the Zulu personally, and it’s what I’ve been carrying lately. I’m sure whatever you go with will be an excellent option, as they’re both fantastic brands. Let me know what you go with.

      Thanks for reading btw!
